I mailed everyone’s book out today. I am so grateful. I have to print more. That’s always a nice problem to have. Make sure when you get your books to snap a picture and HOLLER at me via social media. Whichever one you want.
Also, there should be a new page up soon. I’m gonna get back in the groove with a few short strips and then get back to a longer one.
So, I want to thank everyone who bought the first issue of the HOLLER magazine. I’m working on sketches as promised and hope to have all the books mailed out this week.
The book has also been approved for release on COMIXOLOGY so if that’s your bag stay tuned for the date that hits.
Really looking forward to getting back to HOLLER and the stories get better. It’s very exciting to share with you guys and again… THANK ALL OF YOU!
I had a rough year last year as far as my “comics career” goes. There are a lot of silly people in the comic book world and distancing myself from silly people has done wonders for my mental health. We had to make some tough decisions about Amazing Age and we did the right thing. There is some forward momentum on the next part of that book that I hope pans out.
I plan on keeping up with printing single issues until I have a good chunk of HOLLER done. Then I’m going to shop it around to publishers.
I’m very happy and proud of this and feel like It’s my favorite thing I’ve done. I hope that comes across on the pages.
I really want to tell you about this other thing… but DAMN…. Soon.
The physical copies of HOLLER #1 are in my hand and they turned out nice. I think it’s the best looking darn funny book I’ve ever done and it’s just starting. They’re on sale in the store on this site. There is a flat shipping rate of 3 bucks for purchases so if you want something else now is the time to get it. If not and you think the flat rate is too high I do include a sketch and maybe some stuff from my junk drawer. If that still doesn’t do it for you contact me at jeremymassie@rocketmail or on social media and we can work something out surely.
I’m working on my secret side project I can’t announce still. After that it’s back to HOLLER and regular updates. It should be about two more HOLLERLESS weeks. Anyway. I’m really excited about this book and You guys need to own it. There’s no telling when Skynet takes down the internet or something and you’ll wish you had a physical copy.
I am finished with what adds up to the first issue of… probably like ten of HOLLER. It’s 32 pages long and reads pretty nice. The plan is to print it up and have it land on Comixology and for sale on this site around October.
In the meantime there is a top secret project (Holy Shit Guys!!!) I’ve been asked to do that I can’t wait to share with everyone. I hate to take a break between issues but this was too sweet to pass up.
I have about ten pages of this super secret thing to do (Damn it I can’t wait to talk about it!!….. COUNTRY MUSIC DANMIT!!! GAHHH) and after that it’s back to HOLLER.
When HOLLER #1 is available I’m going to bother people until I sell out of them. I included the cover above…
So, I hope you know that I have a “Holler” strip in the latest music themed issue of “The Believer.” It’s called “The Nirvana Shirt” and it was actually the first “Holler” strip I ever did. I didn’t post it on this site since it was going to be in the magazine.
The comics editor Kristen Radtke was amazing and I can’t thank her enough for helping me polish the strip. A lot of my experience with editors in the past has left a lot to be desired but this was miles away from that experience.
I’m really happy with the strip and very excited to be included in this issue… Friggin DAVID BYRNE interviews himself in this same issue. That’s a trip for me (“Fear of Music” is one of my favorite albums)
The best part is being in print again and I hope that the rest of “Holler” will see the printed page soon. But anyway, get your butts over to their website and read the strip or order a few copies of the latest issue!
