I have taken down all the pages but the Origin story. I’ll tell you why later. This is an exciting development. I’ll be with you soon folks. Announcement shortly.
I’ve been away for a while. HOLLER is back today and for the next two weeks there will be some short strips. After that we start on a new story called “Our Own Yoko”
I took some time off to finish the WILLIE NELSON pages. After that some interesting developments came my way. I’ll announce this VERY GOOD news shortly.
As for now it’s back in the routine. Things may change on this site soon … but if it does it’s for a really awesome reason.
So the secret project is this Willie Nelson biography. It’s written by T.J. Kirsch and each of the illustrators involved handle a chapter. I am drawing chapter 2 which takes place during his first marriage so the early days. I’m really excited to be a part of it and think with the other folks involved it’s going to be a helluva book. Here’s a link to a blog post by T.J. on the publisher’s site https://blog.nbmpub.com/2019/11/15/willie-nelson/
I also got some more copies of HOLLER in stock so If you missed out now is your chance.
Anyway, I’m inking today but hopefully more exciting news later as well as updates.
I mailed everyone’s book out today. I am so grateful. I have to print more. That’s always a nice problem to have. Make sure when you get your books to snap a picture and HOLLER at me via social media. Whichever one you want.
Also, there should be a new page up soon. I’m gonna get back in the groove with a few short strips and then get back to a longer one.
So, I want to thank everyone who bought the first issue of the HOLLER magazine. I’m working on sketches as promised and hope to have all the books mailed out this week.
The book has also been approved for release on COMIXOLOGY so if that’s your bag stay tuned for the date that hits.
Really looking forward to getting back to HOLLER and the stories get better. It’s very exciting to share with you guys and again… THANK ALL OF YOU!
I had a rough year last year as far as my “comics career” goes. There are a lot of silly people in the comic book world and distancing myself from silly people has done wonders for my mental health. We had to make some tough decisions about Amazing Age and we did the right thing. There is some forward momentum on the next part of that book that I hope pans out.
I plan on keeping up with printing single issues until I have a good chunk of HOLLER done. Then I’m going to shop it around to publishers.
I’m very happy and proud of this and feel like It’s my favorite thing I’ve done. I hope that comes across on the pages.
I really want to tell you about this other thing… but DAMN…. Soon.
